Taitor: AI tutor for kids

Problem

Parents want personalized learning support without hiring a private tutor for every subject, but most digital tools either feel like generic worksheets or overwhelm kids with poor pacing. Homework sessions turn stressful when content does not adapt, progress is invisible, and parents cannot tell whether time on screen is actually helping. Building for children also demands careful UX, privacy-conscious design, and content that stays approachable across ages and abilities.

Strategy

Design for two users from day one — the child who needs encouragement and the parent who needs trust and visibility.

Approach

Shipped the core lesson loop and adaptive tutoring interaction first, then layered the parent dashboard, subject library, and subscription tiers once the learning experience felt cohesive.

Solution

We built Taitor as a kid-first AI tutoring experience with personalized lessons in math, reading, science, and additional subjects. The AI adapts difficulty after every answer — easing up when a child is stuck and increasing challenge when they are ready. A conversational lesson interface guides learners through interactive questions with streaks and progress cues that reward consistency. Parents get a dedicated dashboard showing lessons completed, time learning, in-progress topics, and weekly insight — plus marketing and onboarding flows that explain the product clearly before signup.
